The landscape of northern Italy was inspirational and offered many sketching and painting opportunities in the sunny summer weather of 2018. This painting was based on plein air sketches and several others followed.

This painting was done from a compilation of on-location sketches and watercolor pieces. It was inspiring to see people enjoying exercise as well as the natural beauty of this place.

Painting flowers never seems to get old, as we bring a bit of nature indoors. Humble, sweet violets made for a still life opportunity and have since found a wonderful home.
